Grievance Policy

How to raise a complaint about your personal data or Platform conduct — and what happens next.

1. Your Right to Grievance Redressal

Under Section 13 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, every Data Principal (user) has the right to have grievances redressed by the Data Fiduciary. We take this obligation seriously. All grievances will receive a substantive response within 48 hours of receipt.

4. How to File a Grievance

Method 1 — Dashboard (Fastest)

Log in to your account → Privacy & Data Rights → Submit a request. This is the fastest method; your request is logged instantly with a reference number.

Method 2 — Email

Send an email to grievance@aecjobforme.in with:

We will acknowledge receipt within 4 hours and provide a reference number.

Method 3 — Postal

You may write to our Grievance Officer at the address above. Allow 7 business days for postal delivery; the 48-hour SLA begins from the date we receive your letter.

5. Grievance Resolution Process

  1. Receipt (Day 0): We acknowledge your grievance and issue a reference number
  2. Review (Within 24 hours): Our Grievance Officer reviews the complaint
  3. Resolution (Within 48 hours): We provide a substantive response — either resolving the complaint or explaining why we cannot, with next steps
  4. Follow-up: If you are not satisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India

6. Escalation to the Data Protection Board of India

If your grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction within the stipulated time, you have the right to approach the Data Protection Board of India (DPBI) under DPDPA §18.

7. Children's Data Complaints

If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a person under 18, or if you are a parent/guardian with a concern, please contact us at grievance@aecjobforme.in with subject "Children's Data — Urgent". We will delete the data within 48 hours of verification.

8. Data Breach Reporting

If you believe your personal data has been breached (e.g., you received unexpected emails referencing your AEC Job account, or your account shows activity you don't recognise), please report it immediately to security@aecjobforme.in. We will investigate and notify the DPBI within 72 hours of confirming a breach, as required by DPDPA §8(6).
